dMbOnDemand is a media-driven brand dedicated to celebrating the music of Dave Matthews Band, the DMB Family, and the connections their music fosters. Originally launched in 2009, we served as a hub where fans could legally access thousands of DMB videos. While the band's management appreciated the concept, we were not an official channel and ultimately had to shut down. In 2010, we launched our Twitter account as another way to connect with DMB fans, recognizing the strength of the community. Around this time, a close friend of ours helped develop the #dmbcouchtour brand in collaboration with us. We're proud to see it grow into an independent platform of its own. You can join dmbcouchtour here. ​​ ​ The enormous community of fans loyally following DMB social media inspired us to create a Facebook group as another means of staying connected. We can be found at http://facebook.com/groups/dmbondemand Never wanting to sit still when it comes to DMB we created http://dmbondemand.com to host live streams of past DMB shows in a viewing party format. The dMbOnDemand brand took a hiatus in 2017-2018, but behind the scenes, ideas continued to evolve on how to give loyal fans even more ways to connect with the band. Knowing the DMB community's passion is insatiable, we made our return to Twitter in 2019 with new offerings like #SOTD (Song of the Day). Fans are encouraged to suggest songs they’d like to see broken down into lyric snippets, accompanied by original art, and shared throughout the day. 2019 was a milestone year for dMbOnDemand. We launched our online store, featuring original and unique DMB merchandise and apparel, with options for personalized designs upon request. While this aspect of our brand has been temporarily removed from our website, our designs are still available on Etsy. The shop quickly grew, offering over 1,000 pieces of custom merch. As we’ve said, the passion for this band is limitless. After attending the Gorge in 2019, we were inspired by the idea of speaking with as many fans as possible to explore what DMB’s music means to them and how it has shaped their lives. This vision led to the creation of the dMbOnDemand Podcast in 2021. You can find podcast links on our site under the Podcast heading. The show follows a Q&A format, featuring DMB history and a special segment where guests share their personal interpretations of a song each week. After a four-season run, we decided to close the podcast… until 2025, when inspiration struck again. In 2023, our host suffered a fall that left him a paraplegic. Since then, he has faced multiple hospital stays due to complications, including severe pressure sores that have kept him on bedrest. As of March 2025, he has been down for seven months—a stretch of time filled with deep reflection, struggles with depression, and a search for ways to push forward. Music, especially the music of Dave Matthews Band, became a lifeline. That’s when the realization hit: countless others have leaned on DMB’s music to navigate their own moments of despair. Their stories, like his, could serve as a beacon for those facing their own battles. And so, the dMbOnDemand Podcast is returning—not with side segments or extra features, but as a raw, honest space where guests will share their personal journeys through the lens of DMB’s music. Alongside the podcast, we’re also re-launching the blog, inviting a few select contributors to write each week, and bringing back the shop in March 2025. We’ll be rolling out past designs bit by bit, offering them on new products, and introducing fresh ideas along the way. And this is just the beginning—2025 has more in store. If you have a microphone setup with your computer, great! If not, you can simply record using the voice app on your phone. If you have a pair of AirPods or decent headphones with a mic, use those.
